BonLou isn’t just a catchy name, it’s a tribute to two fierce, fabulous women: my grandmothers, Bonnie and Lady Louise. Think of them as the original dynamic duo, a little less "Thelma & Louise" on a wild road trip and a little more "let’s get things done with style and sass." Their spirit of creativity, resilience, and boldness inspired me to build a marketing company that helps small businesses make a big impact. Hey there! I’m Kristy Grove, the founder (and sass) behind BonLou Creative. With over 25 years in the marketing world, spanning tourism, hospitality, and event marketing, I’ve seen it all, done it all, and learned exactly what works (and what really doesn’t).
My passion? Helping small businesses thrive with smart, strategic marketing that doesn’t break the bank.
Back in 2009, life threw me a curveball, I was laid off. But instead of packing up and leaving the small town of Port St. Joe (where my heart truly was), I took a leap and started Scenic City Marketing and Events. I began helping small businesses with events and social media, making sure they had the support they needed to shine.
Fast forward to today, and it felt like the perfect time for a little rebranding, one that pays homage to the people who inspire me most.That’s how BonLou Creative was born. I bring creativity, strategy, and a little bit of fun to every project whether it's crafting a killer social media plan, building a rock-solid campaign calendar, or working on your rebrand or new business.
When I’m not busy marketing my heart out, you’ll probably find me spending time with family and friends, traveling and soaking in all that life has to offer, or channeling the fearless energy of my grandmothers, Bonnie and Louise.
